brad and amanda 17th november 2007

welcome to the latest jetset wedding of keith-urban-rockstar-brad to nicole-kidman-glam-supermodel-amanda...this fantabulous celebration was a culmination of "boys from the bush" meets "that's amore"! a sun kissed ceremony at meelup beach, dunsborough and the largest reception ever successfully planned at broadwater dunsborough (complete with power blackout just for a little variety)...

the seriously good looking amanda...

and the ever so handsome brad...

this gown was simply to die for...more detail to follow...you'll love it!

every supermodel requires silver heeled stilettos - hang the sandy beach ceremony!

perfectly matching sparkly jewels...

and a complimentary summer bouquet...

a little tlc from mum...

what is a superstar wedding without three stunning bridesmaids!

this is brad and amandas delicious little man - eating an olive to soothe and calm like all good italian boys...

love this mirror image - perfect composition, lighting, mood and emotion - captured by kylie...new certified (and self-proclaimed) queen of the mirror image!

brad watching his lovely lady on her way down a petal strewn red carpet...

and man-oh-man - was he blown away...

the sweetest moment, just before the kiss...

and someone wants to know "what is all this fuss about and who made the mess with the rose petals?"

a few images on meelup beach...

then a quick visit to harwoods cottage where the stereo was turned up nice and loud and brad did his "groove thang"

the stud muffin himself...

now these bridesmaids had definately read the "manual" - rule #54 the bride must be primped and preened and fussed over...

how stunning is this lady...

who needs bridesmaids when you have a best man?..

but then they kinda look simply gorgeous when you sit them altogether...

the fellas brush up on rule #127, dont forget to worship your mate's new bride...

and then rule # 87 - bridesmaids must treat the groom like he is a rockstar - preferably with sincerity...

we arrive at broadwater for a few images in the garden...cheered on by invited guests up on the balconies...

and then on to a secluded corner near the bar for these most amazing shots - definately the winning images of the day...although taken by mike - they were completely (yes, i moved the lamps, the lounge, turned on lights, positioned the gown and the veil and the shoes and the jewels and the hair and the pose) set up by kylie and mike promptly stole the entire scene...but they are pretty damn fine "shared" images...amanda - you rock girlfriend...

while mike was busy boasting - i snuck upstairs to capture the striking reception...

we must be fairly persuasive with our couples, as we managed to convince brad and amanda to join us on the beach for these breath-taking images at sunset...

heres that look again from a man who can not believe that he is actually married to the exquisite amanda...

back up the beach we return to the reception (far out - i should be a size 8 with all this running around) and i spot this bouquet trinket which is very special to amanda...

i just love this image of amanda's mum - all relaxed and smiling after such a busy, eventful happy day...

dad and daughter dance...

now, here's the thing - apparently brad - the guy you have previously seen hugging and kissing and crooning and swooning - isnt a touchy feely kinda guy - yeah, i know - go figure. and apparently he's not a dancer either - well brad, (rockstar, stud-muffin, all round mr nice guy) you certainly had us fooled...

thanks to both families for treating mike and i as invited guests, we are always extremely grateful for such a kind gesture...
amanda and brad - you two are the genuine article - not to mention ridiculously good-looking...thank you for sharing your warmth, your laughter, your great friends, immensley funny family, and your stunning fashion sense with us...wishing you three many blessings on your journey together...
competition scoreboard - sneaky, under-handed, ruthless, mike wins with red wall images...

ken and linley 16th november 2007

the reverend linley married her handsome sailor ken, in front of a huge gathering of family and friends at the very special st boniface cathedral. parishoners will tell you that "they knew" romance was in the air between these two lovely people, but ken and linley are able to cite exact dates they became public! the day was emotional, spiritual and ever so happy...

linleys gorgeous gown...

another image of the gown, taken by arty-farty mike...

the delicate bolero, worn by linley, draped across a special chair, image taken by "i can be arty-farty too" kylie...

linley had trouble choosing between sexy-gives-me-blisters shoes and stunning-not-so-hard-on-my-toes-sandals

the lovely bouquet...

the gorgeous bridesmaids bouquet...

linley designed all the jewels to match the colour theme...

a gift fron linleys daughter kristy...

the youngest and brand new grandchild...little delicious baby girl...

the lovely linley...

ken and his grooms - including his brother arthur who - with his wife pauline - flew all the way from the uk for the wedding...

the church ladies excelled in the flower arranging for their reverend...

heres a great image of ken seeing linley enter the cathedral...

one of ken and linleys favourite part of st boniface are the stained glass windows - which is why i posted this image...

and an image of st boniface in all its glory...

just before the kiss...

in full song...

ken and linleys requested "whole church group" shot - we hope you like it!

as so many well wishes attended the nuptials - ken and linley provided afternoon tea (with thanks to the amazing church ladies again) for everyone on the front lawn. here are ken and linley waiting to be announced...

church ladies again - this time with the table decorations...

not sure how they managed it - but ken and linley scored four - count them four! - wedding cakes at their afternoon tea reception...

arriving at the incredible meadowbrooke estate...

time seemed to escape us very quickly and were not able to fit in a grandchildren portrait requested by linley - so i rounded up a few grandies who were running wild and free on the massive lawn and snapped a few images...

once ken and linley had enjoyed some of their magnificant feast (kudos to meadowbrooke - you guys deliver amazing food), we snuck outside for some sunset images...

lovely cake...

and the reception looked so pretty once the sun had set, all pinks and reds and glowing...

this is kendall, linleys daughter - who delivered, without a doubt, the most tear-jerking, emotional from the heart speech we have ever heard - even simon healy - dj marvelous - was in tears...well done love...

then on to some funny speeches where ken was presented with some "proper" glasses...

and a delightful dance under the magic lights...

and just when everyone was about to sit down and enjoy coffee - simon successfully got the party started with some dance moves...

this little fellow is another grandchild and a groover from way back - here showing us his solo elvis number...

to dear ken and linley - your celebration was humourous, moving, thoroughly enjoyable and we were completely over the moon to be your suprised invited guests...thank you for your kindness and for allowing us to share in your most special day...enjoy your new parish in down south donnybrook, we know they will love you both...
comp update : while mike and simon were plotting simons new blog site ("where's simon" - keep an eye out) kylie snapped the most incredible images!!!
