ben and laura 20th october 2007

we return to meadowbrooke on a stormy, rain-sodden morning for the beautiful ceremony between ben and laura. laura received the dreaded phone-call quite early with the awful news that the impending storm meant the lakeside gazebo nuptials were out of the question. "never mind" she said with a smile...but then her jubilation was contagious upon arriving at meadowbrooke; surrounded by dark, angry clouds - to find her handsome groom and their guests waiting patiently by the lake...

ben and laura, we are incredibly honoured to be a part of your amazing day. it was beautiful in so many ways - the entire day was absolutely stunning - and we are sure you are destined for a happily ever after...

a few detail images...the spectacular gown...

a little sparkle on the shoes...

and a bouquet to brighten any rainy day...

introducing the lovely, lovely laura - with an amazing smile that launches ships, conquers countries and melts hearts...

love this little tot all ready for a thunderstorm...

a sneaky portrait shot while signing the register..

a kiss and a cheer...

just check out these storm clouds looming and about to erupt...quick thinking by laura's dad and ben saved the red carpet from destruction...

a few of mike's "arty" shots - trying to win "the competition" with ancy-pants arrogance...

thanks once again to the guys from australia's own fj holdens - fine cars, fine gentleman and happy to offer assistance wherever required...

a few shots under the gazebo while we waited for rain to clear

just another happy moment with thanks to the token funny groomsman...

just love the way the girls dresses contrast with the riverbank forest...

rule # 124 - do not laugh whilst applying lipgloss...

you know the story - boys will be boys and will compete and will not be outdone by each other - they actually yelled "oh, what a feeling" in unison!..

and from distance - appears a man - with a jug - filled with beer - and a few glasses - and the crowd cheered (or three thirsty fellas did anyway...)

love the flick of the skirt as the girls were heading for cover from the rain...

a few favourite portraits...

laura came through with an awesome twirl on demand...
