rob and alana 15th december 2007

the magnificent abbey resort was the grand location for the wedding of rob and alana. this gorgeous young couple, and their two divine little girls, chose an intimate outdoor ceremony in the grounds of abbey beach and a sumptious cocktail reception in the ballroom. we knew at our first meeting this this couple were planning a relaxed, fun wedding...and they didnt disappoint...

alana's gown was simply stunning...

knock-out shoes...how this petite young mum managed to stay upright i will never know!

the bridesmaids made thier own stylish and unique "shoes" with pretty beading...apparently this is a "shrek" foot...cant see any ogre-isms myself...

and here are little bella's shoes...all together now..."aaahhh"

mike always attends the grooms home prior to the wedding,as we feel this entirely completes the couples story. the groom and his mates are usually in fine spirits and exhibit normal mateship bonding rituals and tomfoolery - but in this instance...this is the only non-"R"-rated image that i am permitted to display of rob and his closest mates...

back to the brides room, where my company is the elegant alana...when we first met, alana owned the most beautiful long dark locks - that i was craving to capture - so i was surprised and then overwhelmed at how stunning she now looked with a modern, sexy, cropped hairstyle...

but after a lot of fussing and bothering...a nap was required

this young couple are not only devoted to each other, but are such tender, loving parents to their girls...

"see you later everyone...i'm going to the playground..."

now this mate deserves a medal (and lots of beer)...he volunteered to mind and entertain the page boy and flowergirl while the bridal party were on location...and he managed it in 40 degree heat and on the beach!...

the guys are definately looking better in this image...damn fine actually...

despite plenty of bribes and tearful begging - no one would swim in the fish pond...

love the colours in this image...rob looks like the definative greek hunk...or maybe a mafia conspirator...

oh, and then look who we met in the glowing corridor...posh beckham!...oh hang on...its the far more beautiful alana...

these guys were really a scream - it is a shame the images are too wild to publish...boys will be boys...

"ok, ive eaten all the sugar chocolate candy - now lets dance..."

then mike and i happened to stumble across these large trays of marshmallow and fruit skewers...and we thought "wow, these look nice..."

and then...we found this large, flowing, indulgent chocolate fountain...and i was content...all images were now taken from this vantage point...

and just in case, after the m&m's and chocolate fondue you were still having cravings...collect one of these as you waddle past...

the evening lighting under the foyer of abbey beach was nothing short of spectacular...hence we dragged rob and alana outside for these (winning) images...oh, and in case you were wondering - a joint effort...

dj, ashley dillon, was now cranking the dance tunes which everyone was enjoying...including robs mum and dad...

rob and alana you were destined to be together - you are the sweetest, kindest, happiest couple we have had the privilege of meeting. your wedding day was a blast...especially the antics of rob and his mates. thank you ever so much for inviting us to join you. we wish you and your sweet girls many many happy, sunshiny days together...
